In 2006, Brian, Erin, and Nate were commissioned by Eddy and Agnes Lee to construct Willow. Following the true art of giving, Willow is a gift to the Lee Kum Kee family in commemoration of the company's 120th anniversary.

Our primary objective for this commissioned project is an embodiment of the Lee Kum Kee (LKK) philosophy of "Si Li Ji Ren" (considering not only one's own interest, but also mutual benefits) to constantly inspire LKK family members and colleagues. Through this project, we hope that the fifth generation of LKK will better understand the core values upon which LKK was founded and to contribute to LKK by giving back to the company and community. This project also recognizes how the special talents of the fifth generation can be mutually beneficial to the rest of the family and society.

"If you would take, you must first give." -- Lao Zi

Willow is the physical representation of "Si Li Ji Ren," in which it also represents LKK's global approach of fostering cross- cultural understanding and cooperation as well as integrating Western technology with Eastern values.
